Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday (July 14, 2025) expressed shock over the horrific road mishap near Railway Kodur of the Annamayya district late on Sunday (July 13, 2025) night, which left nine agriculture workers dead and ten others critically injured, when a lorry laden with a load of mangoes overturned on its way to a pulp industry. The vehicle overturned near Reddipalle Cheruvu in Pullampet mandal.

The victims were identified as residents of the ST Colony from Settigunta ST Colony in Railway Kodur.

District Collector Sridhar Chamakuri briefed the Chief Minister on the tragic incident, informing that all the injured persons were under treatment.

Mr. Naidu conveyed condolences to the bereaved families of the deceased and termed the tragedy “heartbreaking”. He instructed district authorities to extend the best medical care to the injured, assuring that the government would assist the families of the victims in all possible ways.
