The 15th annual general meeting of the Thenmala Ecotourism Promotion Society (TEPS) has decided to strengthen its activities and improve cooperation among various departments. The meeting held in Thiruvananthapuram recently decided to seek a mandate from the government for expanding its ecotourism promotion activities across the State.
Tourism Minister P.A. Mohamed Riyas, who attended the meeting, stated that efforts are on to establish Kerala as an important hub in India’s ecotourism map. “Ecotourism activities in Kerala have surged significantly in recent years, drawing an increasing number of nature enthusiasts from around the globe,” the Minister said.
The meeting also decided to submit the decision to amend the Memorandum of Association of the TEPS to the government.
