Reroute train

Train 16847/16848 runs between Shencottah and Mayiladuthurai. Previously, it was running between Shencottah and Madurai, which was a popular service.

After the extension to Shencottah, on most occasions, due to technical reasons, it runs via Manamadurai and Aruppukottai, bypassing the Trichy-Virudhunagar sector. Alternatively, it can be rerouted via Manamadurai and Madurai with a loco reversal in Madurai.

It will be of much convenience for passengers of Madurai.

Install signboards

Nowadays, the road leading from Sathamangalam to Aavin to Gomathipuram has been closed due to bridge construction.

Many road users are not aware of it and they proceed to the Apollo junction and get caught. The Highways Department should direct fix a signboard near the Anna bus stand junction.

The usage of the Vaigai River North Road between Anna Nagar and Vandiyur four-way track has not been popular due to the lack of awareness of road users.  Both roads should be taken care of.
