THOOTHUKUDI

Thoothukudi district police have announced comprehensive guidelines and route maps detailing the entry and exit procedures for the devotees arriving for the consecration ceremony of Subramanya Swamy temple in Tiruchendur.

According to the statement, as the western corridor of the temple is reserved for the yagasala puja, devotees will not be allowed. To prevent overcrowding near the temple corridors, the Vasantha Mandapam area and the surrounding zones, only a limited number of devotees will be allowed based on available spaces.

Devotees walking from the parking areas such as Bhagat Singh Bus Stand, Mattuthavani Bus Stand and TB Road Ideal Parking may reach the north side of the temple through Mani Iyer hotel junction and northern arch. If the crowd increases on the northern side, alternative routes will be provided for access to the temple and seashore.

Pilgrims arriving from TB Road and JJ Nagar Parking can proceed through the route Taluk Office, Sannathi Street, Puliyadi Amman temple and then proceed to Naazhikinaru and the seashore area.

Devotees coming through Thoothukudi and Tirunelveli Road were advised to use the main arch, north car street, Amali Nagar junction, Navalpazha Salai to Naazhikinaru and seashore.

Those arriving from Paramankurichi and Kulasekarapattinam road are advised to take the South car street and Navalpazha Salai to Nazhikinaru and seashore.

Similarly, devotees exiting from north side of the temple may leave through northern arch, Mani iyer hotel junction and TB road to reach JJ Nagar parking or proceed towards Thoothukudi Road, Tirunelveli Road and Kulasekarapattinam road.

In case of heavy crowding near the seashore, devotees may also exit through Old Naazhikinaru bus stand, Murugan guest house, Valliammai quarters and Veeraragavapuram street.
