The office of the Kapaleeswarar temple in Mylapore received an anonymous email threatening that a bomb would be detonated on the premises.

The police said the temple management immediately alerted the authorities. Police teams, along with the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS), reached the temple and searched the premises but no explosives were found. Thus, they concluded the email was a hoax. A case has been registered, and efforts are on to trace the sender of the email.
