A 55-year-old person was brutally killed and his leg chopped off by a group of four at Sudireddipalle village in Kurnool district late Tuesday night. Police suspect alleged illicit relationship of the deceased with a woman as reason behind the killing.

According to police, the deceased, Kuruva Seshanna, was a lorry driver. He was reportedly having extra marital affair with a young woman from the village.

Police said that Seshanna was attacked inside his home by a group of men who were armed with sickles and sticks. After killing Seshanna, they severed his leg and displayed it in the village. Police suspect the involvement of the woman’s family members in the incident.

Sources said that the killers have surrendered before the police. A case has been registered and investigation is on. Police picket has been arranged in the village as a precautionary measure.
