Belagavi Police Commissioner Borase Bhushan Gulabarao has cautioned people against a fake social media handle created in his name by some miscreants.

This was brought to his notice after some people got requests for money.

“Some miscreants have opened an account in my name. That is not my account. We have filed a complaint with Facebook. I am interacting with the people through the account named the Belagavi City Police Commissioner,” he said.

A complaint has also been registered with the Cyber, Economic and Narcotics Police Station in the city.
