Six teams of Lokayukta police carried out search of records in different sections at the head office of Mangaluru City Corporation on Saturday.

An official from Lokayukta police wing said the search was carried out in light of complaints of corruption at the MCC head office.

Of the six teams, two were led by an officer of Deputy Superintendent of Police rank, while each of the four remaining teams was led by a police inspector. The teams searched records related sections namely Revenue, Town Planning, Health and Engineering. The search went on till late on Saturday evening, the official said.
