HYDERABAD

A woman from Chandupatla village, identified as Thotakuri Mallamma, was found dead on Saturday morning.

Police said that she reportedly consumed an unknown poison near her farm. Preliminary investigation revealed that she was unable to cope with the mounting family debts. Her son, Thotakuri Balanarsimha, lodged a complaint with the Bhongir Rural Police Station following the incident. She was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead at 11.09 a.m.

Sub-Inspector M. Anil Kumar confirmed that a case has been registered.
