A six-month old tiger which had fallen into an old biogas plant in Bidagalu village of Sargur forests in H.D. Kote sub-division, was rescued by the Forest Department personnel on Wednesday.

The plant belonged to Navin of the village and on sighting the tiger, he informed the Forest Department staff who tranquilised it and shifted it to the Chamundeshwari Wild Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre at Koorgalli on the outskirts of Mysuru.

The male tiger was subjected to medical examination and the authorities said that it was healthy.
