A sum of ₹26.50 lakh was disbursed as financial assistance and death compensation to the employees and nominee of the deceased employee of the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation, Kumbakonam Division, on Saturday.

According to an official release, ₹5 lakh was given to the kin of an employee who died in harness and ₹50,000, each to 43 employees on their superannuation by the Managing Director, K. Dasarathan, at the Corporation’s headquarters at Kumbakonam.
